There are many composers who produce music that manages to convey a real sense of the country they belong to. I have chosen one of those pieces for my “complete work” today.
The second of this set of six symphonic poems is by far the best known – but they all deserve to be heard. Played here by an orchestra from the country that the music represents – which always adds a little extra to the playing.
