Ryan Anthony’s Oboe
Finding a suitable “arrangement” for my Friday quiet time choice took a while – but in the end it just had to be this one. A tune everyone knows played beautifully. I know that Ryan Anthony has featured a couple of times already recently – but there is no doubt this is worth listening to.
I Had A Farm In Africa
OK – so a few things came together for today’s choice – we have had a week of horn solos – so today we have lots of horns – yesterday I mentioned the Wiener Waldhornverein, so I thought I would choose something from them – what I have ended up with though is the Vienna Horns (who I suspect are members of the Waldhornverein anyway).
May It Be

Horn Sound
It is no surprise that these posts may well be dominated by Horns and music by composers who wrote good horn parts. Today’s choice is from an album that would undoubtedly have been in my 20 if I wasn’t restricting that to LPs.
