I have been concentrating so much on getting all the Facebook stuff across to this platform that I have somewhat neglected adding some new performances that catch my eye/ear. I have two such videos from the last few days.

A Scottish Band
I was reasonably sure that I had previously shared something by this band – but it seems that it never made it to the list 😃 So I will correct that now.
Yet More Horns
During the time that I have been sharing these bits of music I have offered a number of recordings of groups of horns playing in a variety of styles. I think that this is different from all the previous shares – hope you like it.
We’ve had Wales – now it is the turn of Ireland
Just catching the end of St Patrick’s Day – this is the version of Riverdance that started it all.
Surprisingly Popular
This is another example of a composition that benefited from the “Classic FM” effect. Played many times and made a permanent fixture in the minds of the listeners. It was an arrangement featuring the Royal Marines band that was used and it has been a fixture in the “Hall of Fame” ever since the new millenium began.
Gospel Music at Last
I was planning on something else for today (rather different from this choice 😂) and then this popped up on my FB feed (thanks Duncan Hopkins) and it seemed like an excellent choice for today.
Back to the Roaring Twenties
Something completely different…..
Modern Variations on an Old Theme
Something ‘big’ today – but should it be something ‘heavy’ or something ‘light’.
A Sunday Prayer
There are a number of versions of this song available – this one appeals to me because of its simplicity.
Doon the Watter
Well, folks seemed to like Kenneth McKellar the other day – so here is a real “blast from the past”.
