How Could They Not

This week of exploring just some of the huge variety of sacred music began with a Salvation Army march that brought back memories of my “early years” at Govan and I complete the circle now by returning to those same roots and choosing a song that our Songster Brigade used on many occasions.

The specific memory of this for me is from the Sunday that I was travelling from Glasgow to Bournemouth to start the new phase of my life working in this “foreign” land 😃

As it happened, the Sunday Morning service on Radio Clyde that day was a recording that had been made at Govan SA. In those long ago days the signal from Radio Clyde faded out as you travelled down the M74!! So we didn’t hear the end of the service but one of the last things I heard was the songsters singing this song complete with the sublime piano interlude brilliantly played.
