Early Rock

This daily music post all started because I was challenged to post twenty album covers. I have included excerpts from most up until now – here is another one.

Again we have “not the original version” of the tune – but this goes through a number of unusual twists and turns to get to today’s video. Gryphon were briefly famous in the 1970s (when I bought the album that this comes from) and have recently reformed to perform occasionally – and this video comes from one of those recent performances.

In wikipedia they are described as a progressive and medieval folk rock band – which I guess may well make them one of a kind!! If you haven’t heard of them before – this is very different. During the bassoon solo you can all play “spot the tune”.🙂

This music is fun (even if it does look like a bunch of “old guys” playing it) so I hope you enjoy it. I haven’t linked to the start of the video to miss the chatty introduction.
