As Monty Python would have said “…and now for something completely different”! When we were on holiday a couple of years ago in the USA I managed to see the Blue Man Group show at the Luxor Hotel. I had heard of them many years previously, seen videos – but this was my first live viewing.
To be honest there is no way to describe the show in a few words – its a mixture of humour and music – very loud music – and it very much draws the audience into the event. The humour is all mime – the blue men do not speak. It also involves a lot of mess – I hope the cleaners are well paid after each show!!
One of the acts involves one of the blue men catching marshmallows in his mouth – thrown from the other side of the stage – at least 20 of them – in his mouth at the same time
The comedy is – I guess – sort of “old fashioned” – you could imagine folks like the Marx Brothers doing this sort of stuff if they were around today – but at the same time very modern using a lot of technology. May well in the future link one of the funnier clips.
As I say – difficult to describe – wasn’t sure which clip to use for this link, but I have gone with something which not only demonstrates the sort of music – but also gives you something to play with whilst watching it. Its a 360VR version – so you can adjust the camera angle (I usually end up completely losing track of this – would probably be better using a headset!!).
