Yet another Overture, by yet another composer I haven’t previously mentioned and this time played by what is now my local professional orchestra.
The “south” in the title does not refer to the south of England where the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra reside, but rather to Italy. I am not sure when I first heard/played this but it became a real favourite to listen to.
