For John Lewis

Change of plan tonight – having been watching coverage of the funeral of John Lewis it seems very appropriate to share this music instead of what I had planned. The words of this song are a good motto for anyone.

Perhaps those who are not in the US will not be so familiar with John Lewis. His story cannot be told in a few words. If you want a flavour of “what he was about” can I suggest that you read the Op-Ed that he wrote shortly before his death to be published today – the day of his funeral. You can read it here.

If you want to know more – there is plenty to find online – but to know a little about what he meant to the people of America the eulogy delivered by Barack Obama brilliantly sums it up.

wow! George, fabulous choice on so many levels! incredible performance and more importantly, if we could just get the world to own and implement the words and sentiments of this song, what a world we could all have? β€οΈπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»
