A Symphony That Became an Opera

This piece is another that came to my attention sort of by accident. At a concert in Glasgow Cathedral (that I think I have mentioned before) I played Nobilissima Visone by Paul Hindemith. As I tended to do at that time, I went searching in a little record shop down near the Kelvin Hall for a recording.

On the other side of the LP (old tech again😃) was this piece Mathis Der Maler – and I grew to prefer it! So here it is for today’s “full work” (and its not too long seeing as it is late in the day 😃)
