A Horn Memory

According to a post by the International Horn Society it seems that today is David Krehbiel’s birthday.

I have played in and listened to many many concerts. For many of those that I played in I have very specific memories, but for those I listened to relatively few stand out. One performance that does is when I heard David Krehbiel play the Leopold Mozart horn concerto at the Horn Symposium in Wien. There were many very good performances during that week – but this was undoubtedly one of the highlights.

Sadly I cannot find a recording online of him playing that concerto, so today you must make do with one of Wolfgang’s instead 😃 – great playing.
