In probably a vain attempt to cool down a bit tonight I am turning to Vaughan Williams – and his portrayal of icebergs, freezing cold and snow – Sinfonia Antartica. Listened to this a lot when I was younger – haven’t done nearly so often recently, but it is still a wonderful sound picture.

One of the best movie soundtracks of all time, George. Eerie sounding and perfect for the Antarctic landscapes and suffering of Scott, Wilson, Oates, Evans and Bowers. A wonderful film with wonderful music. Brrrrrrr!!! 😀🛷❄🇬🇧🇮🇸
