In any ‘normal’ year our Band would be gathering near Bournemouth Square and preparing to lead the parade of veterans to the Cenotaph. This has been the norm for a long time – the number of veterans has be dwindling, the length of the march has become much shorter and there are now just a few flags of the British Legion instead of dozens, but it is always a special occasion.
