A Magic Violinist

Continuing the scottish theme today…

When choosing which clip of a piece of music to share there are a number of different considerations – in the case of today’s this is an old recording – but it features perhaps the best violinist ever – Jascha Heifetz. As a youngster exploring classical music I well remember listening to many of his recordings of the great violin concerti.

As with all older recordings, the sound quality is not what we have become accustomed to – actually there are some other’s on YouTube of Heifetz playing this piece which are older, but have better sound – but don’t have the benefit of seeing him play!
