Christmas Fantasia

Our School had its major concert of the year at Christmas. Although the programme was not entirely Christmas themed I did get to play and sing a lot of seasonal music.

The first “non-school” concert that I played in (50 years ago today 😱😁) featured the Vaughan Williams’ “Fantasia on Christmas Carols” and that is today’s share. It takes a while for the horn section to get involved – but it is worth it in the end!! For a Monday “big piece” it is quite short – but is ideal for the time of year.

The little benediction from the Baritone and choir at the end is a great message at this time.
