The Songwriter Sings

The song that I was going to share today has already appeared in my newsfeed this morning – so I will save that for another time! This is a more than adequate replacement….

Whilst a lot of christmas music dates from many, many years ago there are plenty of examples of “more recent” compositions that have quickly become well known and evoke the seasonal spirit. This one is less than 40 yrs old and – like much of the christmas repertoire – it has been recorded many times in many different styles.

This particular one has the advantage of the composer being the lead singer – so perhaps this is how he imagined it when he wrote it.
