As someone who is, by nature, destined to ponder on “why” it is no real surprise that I often find myself analysing my own thought processes – certainly a road to eternal recursion – thinking about thinking about thinking about….

The Long Mars

The series continues. Less baffling than previously – mainly because I have now decided that there is no underlying purpose to the story – it is simply two writers letting their imaginations run riot in the idea world of parallel universes. Interesting, if not always gripping.
On Encouraging Serendipity
There is a discussion on LinkedIn at present about the inadequacies of the “linkedIn format” when it comes to what I shall term “constructive discourse” – by that I mean that something is “created” as a result of the discussion.
Places of Worship
A visit to any destination often includes visiting the Churches, Cathedrals, Abbeys or other places of worship – often stunning examples of architecture. All of these photographs are from the interior of churches, etc..
This album will pop to the top of the list each time new images are added.
Stained Glass Windows
Stained glass windows are beautiful – but often difficult to photograph. Here are just some of my attempts.
This is another album that will pop to the top of the list each time new images are added.
Waterscapes
I love pictures of water – so I end up with a lot of them. I have tried to be a bit selective, but this album may get very big!!

On Being Helpful
Helping is difficult – we have all seen the joke about the boy scout helping the old woman across the road – with the denouement that she didn’t actually want to cross it in the first place. In ‘real life’ not only do we find situations exactly analogous to that, but we also find that the ‘old woman’ simply resents the fact that she had to be helped.
Slaughterhouse Five

An author that I have not previously read – he has a style all of his own – and I am enjoying reading this.
Where’s Wally
These pictures started by accident – but now I admit to sometimes doing it deliberately!! They each contain (at least) one person I know – but the subject of the picture is something else – the people are only there ‘by chance’.
This album will pop to the top of the list each time new images are added.
Bournemouth Air Show 2014
Although I was only able to get to the last hour or so of this year’s air show I did manage to get one or two good pictures. Not taken from the ‘ideal’ position – but some of the planes came close enough.
