Over recent times I have become even more aware of how much I don’t know – there are lots of things that I have learned about. To quote just one – until this week I had no prior knowledge of “Black Wall Street” and what happened there 99 years ago.

On Observing Reality
Reality TV shows are anything but. They are sold to you as good viewing because, unlike soaps or crime series etc., you are seeing “real life” unfold in front of your eyes. However, if it really were real life (and there have been some so-called “slow TV” shows made that could claim that) then the vast majority of the programme would be dull and unwatchable (always assuming that any show of this genre can claim otherwise
A Very Stable Genius
If ever there was a misnomer 🙄 – it really would be unbelievable if this were fiction. I haven’t yet finished reading this – but it is confirmation of all the worst fears about life inside the White House.
More Than Politics
Its almost a year since my last post – and slightly strange that the trigger should be (nearly) the same. There have been a number of things that, perhaps, could have been written about in that time – maybe a few that should have been – but my thoughts never got written down. Where Does Performance Enhancement End?
One of the things that you can guarantee when it comes to “big” championships like the Olympics is that there will be a few headline hogging drug cheats exposed. At this particular edition of the Games the issue has been made even more high profile (if that is possible) by the recent revelations regarding the fidelity of the testing process in Russia.
So What Really IS Important?
We are only a few days into the new year and already items in the news have shocked me – have inspired me – have worried me – have surprised me – have saddened me – have ….. What we find out about the happenings around the globe has the capacity to affect us in a huge number of ways. What about – and this is entirely in keeping with the blog theme – the things we don’t know about?
Challenging The Status Quo
Whenever an innovation occurs there are a couple of things that the innovating authority needs to do in order to ensure adoption. First there needs to be some “market” for the innovation – i.e. a need of some sort – and secondly they need to put forward a convincing case to show that the innovation meets the need.
