Now This is Music
For the third Sunday in a row I am linking some unaccompanied vocal music - not bad for a brass player!
...
If I was pressed to name just one composer as my "favourite" then I think Anton Bruckner would win the poll so it is, to me, surprising that he hasn't featured in anything I have linked so far.
His symphonies are, of course, certainly not quick listens - written, as they are, on an epic scale. This, though, is much shorter and is one of my favourites - Locus Iste.
For anyone who has let their Latin go a bit rusty
the words translate as
This place was made by God,
a priceless sacrament;
it is without reproach
