When choosing which clip of a piece of music to share there are a number of different considerations - in the case of today's this is an old recording - but it features perhaps the best violinist ever - Jascha Heifetz.

As a youngster exploring classical music I well remember listening to many of his recordings of the great violin concerti. As with all older recordings, the sound quality is not what we have become accustomed to - actually there are some other's on YouTube of Heifetz playing this piece which are older, but have better sound - but don't have the benefit of seeing him play!
