A Gorgeous Slow Movement
One of my aims in making these posts is to hopefully introduce at least some people to some new music - and I know that I have managed to do that a little already even though I haven't strayed too far from the "well-known" in the repertoire.
...
Today's little moment of calm does (I think) stray from that. I first heard this when I attended the International Horn Symposium in Wien in 1983 when they were celebrating the centenary of the Wiener Waldhornverein. It was a week which was, to be honest, full of highlights and I have many memories. There were a series of lectures, workshops, concerts and 'events' all focused on the horn and just about every one was memorable for one reason or another.
Enjoy
