Well after composing ourselves and getting a bit more serious the next item on the programme in that concert was this overture &#8211; with a great horn quartet at the opening.<\/p>\n<p>As was common then &#8211; the horns are actually in two pairs &#8211; two in F and two in C &#8211; transposition is a very necessary skill for horn players!!
