Due to that I was probably more &#8216;educated&#8217; on pop music than at any other time in my life.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The reason was Casey Kasem&#8217;s American top 40 which was broadcast each week. Not only did I hear a lot of the chart music (that would otherwise probably have passed me by) but he also provided lots of &#8216;interesting&#8217; back stories as well about both the performers and the songs. Today&#8217;s choice comes from a band that I heard on that programme many times.
