That said, it is not my choice for today. Nearly 2 hours 30 minutes. We remembered Uncle Jim conducting Govan and Clydebank Songsters at Govan Citadel all those years ago. 1976\/1977? I do remember Graham Dow playing the trumpet. Happy Easter<\/p>\n<p><strong>George R McConnell<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Round about that date &#8211; think there was at least three or four performances with the first being earlier and the last one (I think it was the last one) in 1979. I have the programme for that one so I know the date. It is interesting that my dad thought it necessary to make the whole evening even longer by adding in three congregational songs!!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brian Milligan<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Was the whole Messiah performed or was it compressed.
