No matter what country you are speaking about there are a huge range of different types of music and Scotland is no exception. However, often much of it is only known and loved within the country itself. I’m sure everyone has their own idea of what “typical” scottish music is \ud83d\ude03 – there may even be some who think shang-a-lang is an old scottish saying of some sort \ud83d\ude02. Perhaps during this short series you will find a different “sound of Scotland” to the one you already were familiar with.<\/p>\n

Many years ago I was one of a few “tame Scots” who were invited to “entertain” at the Ladies Fellowship Burns Supper. Now – my memory is a bit hazy, so someone might correct me, but I think that I sang this song that evening. If so, it could well be the last time I sang a vocal solo – really did for that career that night I guess \ud83d\ude02\ud83d\ude02<\/p>\n
